As part of Reading Fire & Ice Fest, GoggleWorks Center for the Arts invites you to come out of the cold and experience the arts. Continuous shuttle service between Fire & Ice Fest (at 6th & Penn Ave.) and GoggleWorks will be provided by Doubletree.

Live Raku Demonstrations / Saturday, January 13 / 2-4pm
Raku, an ancient Japanese firing technique, will be demonstrated in the Ceramics Studio every hour on the hour from 2-5pm. (free)

Glassblowing Workshops / Saturday, January 13 / 2-4pm
Create your own glass icicle with the assistance of our professional glass artists. Workshop tickets are available every 15 minutes from 2-4:45pm for $40 per person. Ages 16+ (12-15, if accompanied by a parent/guardian). Please note: Completed projects need time to cool; you will be contacted when they are ready for pickup. Closed-toe shoes are required in our hot glass studio. 

About Reading Fire + Ice Fest
Reading Fire + Ice Fest, the flagship winter festival of Berks County, will return to downtown Reading for its fourth year in 2018! Produced and organized by the Reading Downtown Improvement District, the festival will take place January 12-13, kicking off on Friday, January 12 in the 500 block of Penn Street at 5:30 p.m.

Reading Fire + Ice Fest will feature a variety of both indoor and outdoor activities, including a chili cook-off, Snowfall Ball, professional ice-carving competitions, fire performances, live music, pancake breakfast presented by Genesius Theatre, and concession stands. All outdoor activities will again be free, and the chili cook-off, Snowfall Ball, and pancake breakfast will have nominal entry fees.
